Advent -- a holy, four-week countdown to Jesus' birthday -- begins on Sunday December 1, 2019. Get ready to make room for Christ and the radical, countercultural messages he brings. Throughout the season, Advent Unwrapped resources will introduce and explore the Christmas story.
Check out the Advent Unwrapped webpage and Facebook page for Bible-based activities, videos, devotionals and more to help us all prepare for Christ's arrival.
United Church Mission and Service partner ACT Alliance is assisting churches and organizations in providing access to protection, information, and basic needs to asylum seekers along the Central America-Mexico-U.S. corridor.
Your gifts will be used to increase the capacity of welcoming networks and bolster advocacy efforts so that governments can provide protection and humanitarian relief and help ensure that the right of asylum seekers are respected. Please support this work through prayer and donations.
NOOMA: "The new format" 11 am, Wednesdays, October 23, 30, 6, 13
We publish a church newsletter twice a year. Click on the file below for the most recent one, this fall.
We offer a Sunday School program for children throughout the regular school year with some breaks over Christmas, Spring Break and the summer months. We currently do not have a nursery, however, the small hall at the back of our sanctuary has a large glass window where parents can take infants/toddlers if need be, and the service is still heard. Of course, children are always welcome to stay in worship too!
Board meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of every month, at 11am. All are welcome to join us. December will be the 2nd week, and we have no meeting in July.
We welcome you to join Rev. Tracy Fairfield for a time of visiting on Wednesdays 10am - noon, over a cup of coffee, tea, or even water.
In the event of a service cancellation due to unsafe road conditions/power outages, people on the congregation's contact list will be phoned by 9:00 a.m.
We used to collect monthly food donations for the local Food Bank, but with wholesale purchases increasing in popularity, the Food Bank actually does better with cash donations. Please consider making a donation for the Food Bank whenever you can. Mark it on an envelope and we can direct it, or better yet, put your donation in the rainbow fish bowl located on the pulpit.
The United Church Women gather at 1:00p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month for a short meeting and time of fellowship. All women are welcome. The women are hosting a bake sale after church on December 8th. We also have a Christmas lunch on December 10th, noon at White Spot.
